## Trouser hemming

Trouser hemming is a standard alteration, no appointment — just walk in. Skirt and dress hems work the same way.

1. **Bring the trousers and your shoes** — Bring the trousers — or a skirt or dress — along with the shoes you'll wear with them. No appointment needed at any of our locations.
2. **Quick fitting in the changing room** (~5 min) — We pin the right length directly on the leg. Usually takes 5 minutes.
3. **Confirm price and pickup date** (from €12) — You get a firm price and a pickup day. Only then do we start the work.
4. **Into the workshop queue** — We tag the trousers with your order slip and place them in the workshop queue.
5. **Hem to measure** — Open the original seam, sew the new length, fold the hem or preserve the original hem — depending on cut and fabric.
6. **Quality check and pressing** — Before pickup a second pair of hands checks the seam and gives the trousers a final press.
7. **Pick up — you're set** (1–3 working days) — Pay at the counter, check the fit in the changing room if you like, done. 1–3 working days after drop-off.

## Hem alterations for dresses & skirts

Evening and everyday dresses, skirts — hem shortening and strap adjustments. Standard alteration, no appointment, just walk in.

1. **Bring the dress or skirt and your shoes** — Bring the piece along with the shoes you'll wear with it — hem length depends directly on the shoe. No appointment needed at any of our locations.
2. **Fitting in the changing room** (~10 min) — We pin the hem with your shoes on and check straps and waist if needed.
3. **Confirm price and pickup date** (from €18) — You get a firm price and a pickup day. Only then do we start the work.
4. **Into the workshop queue** — We tag the piece and place it in the queue. Multi-layered hems (lining, tulle, lace) get extra markings.
5. **Hem or strap alteration** — Preserve the original hem where possible — otherwise sew a new one. With lining and outer fabric we handle each layer separately so the drape stays clean.
6. **Quality check and steaming** — Check the seam, the drape on the hanger, gently steam — no direct iron on delicate fabrics.
7. **Pick up — you're set** (1–3 working days) — Pay at the counter, check the fit in the changing room if you like, done.

## Zip repair & replacement

Clothing, bags, leather goods, bedding and curtains — we repair and replace common zips. No appointment, price set before work starts.

1. **Bring the item** — Clothing, bags, leather goods, bedding or curtains — just drop the item off. No appointment needed.
2. **Inspect the zip** (~5 min) — We check type (spiral, metal, invisible, two-way), length and colour — and tell you honestly whether a direct swap is enough or more work is needed.
3. **Confirm price and pickup date** (from €20) — Standard clothing zip from €20. Bags, leather goods and home textiles are priced by the work involved — the firm price is set before work starts.
4. **Pick the right replacement** — We measure the old zip and pick the matching length, colour and type from stock.
5. **Remove the old, sew in the new** — Carefully remove the old zip and sew in the new one. For leather goods and home textiles we use the appropriate machine and seam construction.
6. **Function check** — We open and close the zip several times and check the run, tension and stops. Only then is the order done.
7. **Pick up — you're set** (1–3 working days) — We'll check the zip with you if you like. Pay, take it home, done.

## Same-day repair

Zips, tears, loose seams, missing buttons — most jobs are same-day repairs, often done within 1–2 hours.

1. **Bring the damaged item** — Broken zip, split seam, torn strap, missing button — just bring it in. No appointment needed.
2. **Quick look at the damage** (~3 min) — We look it over and tell you straight whether it's a same-day repair or needs a working day.
3. **Confirm price and wait time** (from €15) — The price is fixed before work begins. For same-day repairs you can wait nearby or come back in 1–2 hours.
4. **Straight to the sewing machine** — Express orders skip the standard queue. Replacing a zip, closing a seam or sewing on a button usually takes about an hour.
5. **Carry out the repair** — Matching thread and closure type wherever possible. On a zip we replace the whole slider — no half-measures.
6. **Test the function** — We test the zip several times, tug at the seams, press the buttons. Only then is the order complete.
7. **Take it home today** (1–2 hours) — In most cases you're back out the same day. More complex repairs take 1 working day.

## Bridal

Bridal by appointment — all locations work on wedding dresses.

1. **Book an appointment** — Call and book a quiet fitting time. Available at all locations — Berlin-Treptow, Bernau, Strausberg and Tangermünde.
2. **Bring your shoes & underwear** (~45 min) — Bring the shoes and underwear you'll wear on the wedding day. Both change the hem and the fit noticeably.
3. **Fitting, consult & firm price** (from €45) — We pin the hem, waist and straps if needed, and talk through what's worth doing. You get a firm price — no surprises.
4. **Log the dress & plan the work** — We log your dress with the order slip and pinned marks from the fitting. The seamstress reviews each change before cutting or sewing anything.
5. **Sew in layers** — Tulle, lace, corset, and lining are handled individually. We watch for sequins, beads, and embroidery — nothing gets torn.
6. **Second fitting & final check** — For multi-step alterations you come in once more for a fitting. Hem, waist and straps are checked to the last millimetre.
7. **Pick up or store** (1–2 working days) — You collect the dress in one of our garment bags. If the wedding is still weeks away, we keep it hanging here for you on request.

## Formal wear

Evening gown, cocktail dress, suit — appointment recommended, most alterations in 1–2 working days.

1. **Appointment or walk in** — Small jobs need no appointment. For an unhurried fitting, book ahead. Either works — just give us a call.
2. **Bring the garment & shoes** (~30 min) — Bring the shoes you'll wear on the day. For suits, also bring the shirt — it affects the shoulder line and sleeves.
3. **Fitting & confirm price** (from €25) — We pin the hem, waist, sleeves or straps. You can see for yourself in the mirror how it will sit, and you get a firm price.
4. **Into the formal-wear queue** — Formal wear runs as a priority alteration — a bit quicker than standard trousers. We mark delicate fabrics (silk, satin, lace) separately.
5. **Alter cleanly** — Hem, waist, straps or sleeves to measure. On multi-layer tulle or sequins we stitch by hand — the machine only where it's safe.
6. **Check and steam-press** — Before pickup we steam carefully — never a direct iron on delicate fabrics. Sequins and embroidery get inspected.
7. **Pick up** (1–2 working days) — Try it on in the changing room if you like. We hand the dress over in a garment bag so nothing creases.

## Leather alterations & repair

Leather jacket taken in, zip on a coat or bag, seam or lining — we handle leather work after inspection. Price by estimate, no appointment needed.

6. **Check & finish** — We inspect the seam line and function, then condition the leather where needed.

## Shoe repair

Heels, soles, boot zips — shoe repair is available at our Strausberg location only. Drop your shoes off; we'll quote after inspection.

3. **Confirm the estimate** — We give you the price after the assessment. The shoes don't go into the workshop until you've said yes.
4. **Into the shoe workshop** — The job goes to the shoe station with the right tools for heels, soles, and leather.
5. **Carry out the repair** — New heel, glued or stitched sole, new boot zip — matched to the damage.
6. **Check fit & function** — We check the hold, adhesion, and seam before the shoes are returned.
7. **Collect by arrangement** (by arrangement) — When you drop them off, we'll tell you when the shoes will be ready.
