## How-to guides

- **Shortening trousers — guide and prices** — Jeans from €12, suit trousers or chinos from €15. Usually one to three working days. Original hem (jeans) from €16. - **Shortening jeans without losing the factory look** — Jeans too long but too good to throw out? The challenge with denim is keeping the character — the original hem, the contrast topstitching, the faded edge. - **Repair or replace a zip?** — Is the slider stuck or are teeth missing? Sometimes a repair is enough, sometimes the whole zip has to come out. ## Speciality work

- **Invisible mending: what disappears and what doesn't** — A moth hole in a cashmere jumper is smaller than a fingernail and still ruins the jumper. Invisible mending, Kunststopfen, rebuilds the weave thread by thread instead of covering it with a patch. How well it works comes down to size, weave and where the damage sits. - **A memory bear from clothing: is one shirt enough?** — Usually, yes. One shirt or blouse is enough for a bear, and whatever is left over comes back to you. We sew from clothing that carries a story: bears, cushions, small blankets, a christening gown out of a wedding dress. From €89 per bear, an introductory price. - **Tent, horse rug, club flag: what fits through the machine** — Not every repair is a garment. On the table: tent panels, backpacks, horse rugs worn through at the strap, boat covers, dog harnesses and embroidered club flags.
