You can tell a good alterations workshop by a few clear signs: its own premises, transparent prices, honest timings. wiederjut has been working since 2003 out of our workshops in Berlin (Treptow), Brandenburg (Bernau, Strausberg) and the Altmark (Tangermünde).

How to recognise a good workshop
Points that tell you in five minutes whether a workshop is worth your time.
- A fixed workshop on site — measuring, fittings and pickup at the same address.
- A clear price list you can see before you agree to anything.
- Honest scheduling: good workshops say no when time is too short.
- Their own machines for different fabrics — denim, crêpe, tulle, leather.
- A written note with a date on drop-off — no loose scraps of paper.
- A fitting before pickup, not later at home.
- No pressure for extras — you decide what gets altered.

Which workshop fits you
Every workshop handles trousers, zips, buttons and same-day repairs, and we alter bridal wear at all of them — please book for that, so there is enough time for a calm fitting. Two workshops also do something the others do not. Address, opening hours and directions are on each location page.

When to come — and when not to
Same-day repair: ring ahead before you set off — how late we can still take something in depends on how busy we are and when we close. Larger jobs: just walk in, measuring usually takes 15 minutes. Bridal: please book an appointment and bring someone with you.
